I bought a Nikon L610 while traveling in Japan last September. Now on June, it fails with Lens Error.

Contacted Nikon for warranty repair and was told that it has to be sent to Japan for warranty repair. Very kindly they sent me a link to the Japan website, that offers no English version.

Though Google Chrome does offer translation services, it's impossible to figure what steps must be taken to request authorization to send in the camera.

What global firm does that. We live in a global economy and Nikon forces customers to mail equipment to Japan for warranty repairs.

Monetary Loss: $125.
